Welcome to the website of Thurne Parish Council.

This website has been designed to publish the information required under the recent Transparency Code For Smaller Authorities issued by the Government. Thurne Parish Council has complied in full for 2020/21 with its requirements under Annex A of the Transparency Code and links to all relevant published information is provided in tabular form here.

Thurne Parish Council meetings are held usually on the first or second Thursdays in January, March, May, July, September and November. Due to the Pandemic, there were no meetings of Thurne Parish Council held between Thursday 5th March 2020 and Thursday 20th May 2021.

A document was posted (click here) on 12th January 2021 summarising the actions undertaken by Thurne PC between March and December 2020 when the normal meetings of Thurne PC could not take place due to the Global Pandemic.  Another document was posted (click here) on 21st May 2021 summarising the actions undertaken by Thurne PC between 1st January and 19th May 2021.

The Thurne Parish Annual Meeting and Thurne Parish Council AGM were held on Thursday 20th May 2021 – draft minutes have been published – see Noticeboard. The next Thurne PC meeting is now scheduled* for Thursday 29th July 2021 at Thurne Methodist Church – agenda will be published here a few days prior.

*Postponed from 8th July in the hope that Goverment Social Distancing restrictions will have been eased by then to allow the meeting to be held indoors.
